Ukraine from Trypillya to the present

The author of the aforementioned project, Alexander Melnyk, noted that the Biennial was planning to revive the historical genre in Ukrainian art, the Honored Artist of Ukraine. Throughout centuries the internecine enmity was stirred up, the truth about the historical path of the Ukrainian people was distorted, the basis of its culture, language, and "disadvantageous" pages were simply removed from the background of national consciousness.
Welcoming the audience with the opening of the exhibition, the head of the National Union of Artists, the People's Artist of Ukraine Volodymyr Chepelyk expressed his wishes for further creative inspiration to the artists and peace of Ukraine. Kermannich noted that the past power had a negative influence on the spiritual, cultural and artistic development of society through its communist ideology; whole generations demoralized. Therefore, such a project is conceived as a biennale, which provides artists with the means of fine art to tell the truth to their people. The presented works carry a positive essence, which makes it possible to recreate the cathedral state.
At the solemn opening ceremony of the exhibition, artists from many regions of Ukraine were present, and among the honorable guests was the advisor to the President of Ukraine Yuriy Bogutsky, the famous writer of the public figure Dmitry Pavlychko, representatives of the public organizations of the capital, the press. For us it is a significant event, because it is at such exhibitions that artists can reveal their worldview, creative potential and show the world the true Ukrainian community.
Artists have always been at the cutting edge of historical events in Ukraine, Y. Bogutsky emphasized in his speech. This is confirmed by the paintings presented at the exhibition, where the artists show significant pages on the history of the Ukrainian people, which reveals the truth, what a bit it would not be. Through the artistic images he speaks to us the truth in chronological order from the gray-haired antiquity to the present. Significant day of a stone grave with bright archeological artifacts, dramatic Kyivan Rus, dynamic Cossacks with a significant Baturin event, October Revolution, communist Soviet period, rebuilding, Revolution of Dignity. For each period of human fate, faith in true steps, hope for a better life. Such are the dynamic sculptures of Anatoly Kuscha as "Three States"; "Oranta" by Boris Nikonchuk, paintings "Kruty. Mother of the Apples "by Vasyl Korchinsky," The Last Hetman Pavlo Skoropadsky "by Oksana Poltava-Guydi," Volunteer Ivan Turchin "by Victor Levchenko.
They are impressed with the powerful dynamics and psychological strength of the images of prominent figures of the Ukrainian people, such as I. Mazepa, I. Sirko, P. Doroshenko, P. Sahaidachny. In this series of Cossack heroes, Natalka Pavlusenko set a task for her to fill the stains in Ukrainian history through a true image of historical history. To create his own vision of events, the artist carefully studied documents, folk clothes, details of decorating weapons, Cossack life, so the portrait gallery is full of special dynamics, the internal strength of Ukrainian heroes.
Draws attention to the triptych by K.Casianenko "Graffiti for Anna", "The Triad of Music" by A.Fedko. "The Wheel of Ukrainian History" by B. Tkacheka, "The Battle with the Byzantines" R.Musienko. The painters and events of the Revolution of Dignity, which unfolded on the canvases of V.Kovtun, V.Franchuk, I.Frisera, etc., were not overlooked. Many artists were participants in the events on Maidan as V.Korchinsky, V.Fedko, K.Tkachenko, M.Sochenko . The last portrait gallery created for the city was awarded the medal "For sacrifice and love for Ukraine".
The retrospective vision of Ukrainian history was shown by outstanding painters such as Valentina Zadorozhny, Mykola Storozhenko, Olekander Ivakhnenko, Vasyl Zabashti, Oleksandr Voron, Galina Sevruk, Volodymyr Pryadka, Theodosius Gumenyuk. Understanding the major events of the Holodomor, the Great Patriotic War, the trial of the communist regime, revealed in the works presented a new wave of cruel truth. But in whatever conditions it would not have been necessary to live the Ukrainian people, the love of the native land, the desire of freedom and unity in the good intentions of a bright future pass through the red ribbon through the whole exhibition. It is these rays that were depicted by the folk artist of Ukraine V. Barinova-Kuleba "The son, the walk himself", L. Mytchenko "Family", O. Solovy "In the shadow: the bazaar in Ostrog", G. Kirilenko-Barannikova "Sednivsky motive ", I.Klimenko" Womanishness ", O.Ivakhnenko" Lullaby ".
The participation of such well-known artists as Honored Sculptor of Ukraine A. Zaboy, L.Pereperelytsya, painters Y.Kardash, V.Kopaygorodenka, V.Garbuz and others. In general, the exhibition presents works that are not indifferent to the history of its people artists. But the culmination of the exhibition was the picture of Alexander Melnyk "Ukrainian Christmas under a red star", which has a special influence on the formation of national consciousness of mankind.
In total, the exhibition presents three hundred artistic works from 180 participants of the project. The page on the page reveals significant events in which the history of Ukrainian state-building is spoken. So, because of the artistic images the artists influence the feelings of the audience, form our consciousness, bring up a national vision, unite the audience with love for their state.
