Imprints of time. Personal exhibition of Olga Vorony

Olga Vorony-Adamenko's creativity refers to Ukrainian folk arts and crafts, which reaches the roots of the boundless centuries, and at the same time to the artistic practices of the twentieth century, when the advent of the art of avant-garde was the convergence of modernity and the archaic era. At first glance, a slightly sealed world of a mistress is perceived as just opened, as if seen with children's eyes, full of joyous freedom of act of creation ... The aesthetics of her works, as once Dadaism, breaks the established framework of artistic creativity, relying on the free game of imagination and the logic of mythological thinking embodied in the notion of "bricolage".
The brilliant way of building an artistic space is based on the principle of stratification and nunization of elements. Therefore, the works of the masters are a colorful kaleidoscope of familiar images of nature from the childhood and of the subject world, of traditional ornaments (written by hand and / or made with the help of a stencil), of ancient symbols, of the sympathetic combination of colorful planes and forms of sacral geometry. Created by such "reflections of time," the space is experienced by the artist and as an individual memoir, and as an element of collective memory through the use of fragments of foreign works and outside artistic expressive means (parts of metal fittings, necklaces, other women's ornaments, pieces of fabric, picture frame , in the end, baby designer cubes).
Accidentally found in corridors of buildings, art studios or in familiar objects are considered by the author with a sincere enthusiasm, as if this is a treasure. As archaeological artifacts (each with their own "experience") they pick up meticulously, undergo a conditional "inventory", become part of a new figurative integrity. The same applies to improvised tapestries, made from remnants of trimmed clothes with embroidered or knitted fragments, complemented by textile applications; as well as similar to the national standard "Flowers of the state".
Therefore, despite the polysemanticity of Olga Vorony-Adamenko's cultural texts (referring to the national artistic tradition, natural elements, women's origins and the motives of cosmogonic mythology), their semantic core remains a subtle symbolic link between the sacred and historical time space, where the main characters become the already mentioned " prints of time ".
